Live Publishing Admin and Online Def Tribute PDF

Where does this leave the online publishing of the Def Tribute PDF?

I guess we can just go straight ahead with it... Mr. Zzapback, do you have any written evidence of your permission and copyrights in relation to it all?

Pity about the extra Zzap bits not making it but like I've said before, we should be very thankfully the Trib made it at all!

Yeah I know.
I was thinking about this.

Not 100% sure yet.

Thoughts?

So wait until you have a super Def Tribute at 98 pages or something and release that as a single PDF?

I think it might be nicer to release the PDF of the magazine as it now stands, since what was printed with RG is The Def Tribute to Zzap!64 and then possible release an extra edition or remix with all the extra stuff in it.

What do others think?

I'd just like to see a PDF released soon, while the iron is hot! :)

Yeah me too.
I just wonder what to do with the leftovers, put them online or make an extended DEF Tribute out of it with more exclusive stuff.
Busy at the moment perfecting lo-res and semi-hi-res pdf's etc.
I'll let you know.
Ta!

There is a possibility of using the PDFs on a project the freelancers for Retro Gamer are putting together, I already e-mailed Rob about it.

Excellent, I guess that cd is meant to house the parts that never made it into RG, so it's quite fitting.

Will there will room on the cd for the PDF of the whole Tribute?

Depends how big the file is :P

Seriously... as the stupid person who volunteered to put the CD together, then it falls to me as to what is going to get included

Hi,

Long time lurker, (and a while a member) but never had time to
post my comments...

...Till Now 8)

Just wanted to say, Def Trib was Great, I managed to bag two copies
and will be buying up any future retro publications, and like everyone
here, will miss RG (was also a subscriber too)

and Mort, I shall be in touch shortly, as I need to update my scanned
mags collection (my 5 cd set of zzaps are looking tired from use  )

perhaps now would be a good time to rethink about issue 108

Lovingly cuddles his issue 107

Well since Mr. Zzapback did such a good job with the Def Tribute, I think we should leave the work on 108 to him :)

COme on Rob! We want a new issue of Zzap every six months at least. ;-)

According to what he has posted on other forums, the first issue is coming out in November - He has worked with an ex-RG Art Editor, so it should look professional. Looking forward to it!
